Assemblyman Nestande’s Honors California’s Solar Industry

Assemblyman Brian Nestande, R-Palm Desert, announced today that Assembly Concurrent Resolution 174 was passed unanimously off the Assembly Floor.  


ACR 174 Declares November 8th as California Solar Professionals Day, honoring the significant contribution the individuals working in this field make to our state.


Nestande stated, “Our state leads the nation in solar projects, power and employment.  More than 1,800 solar companies employ over 47,000 Californians—from installation to manufacturing, research, engineering and innovation—these men and women are the key to our state’s thriving solar market.”


Renova Solar debuted the first Solar Professionals Day in October of 2012.The day was treated as a celebration of excellence and elevated standards in the industry and education of solar. Policy makers, educators, and solar professionals joined us in our Greenzone building as they spoke on solar industry topics such as education, jobs, and how solar policy is affecting our community and business.
