“Cut the Cord: How to Achieve Energy Independence by Joining the Solar-Powered Microgrid Revolution”, is now available on Amazon as an audio book. In addition, author Vincent Battaglia, MBA, is making available a free, downloadable copy in Spanish on the website CutTheCordBook.com.
“This information is so relevant for so many people right now,” explained Battaglia. “We want to make sure that as many people as possible can access it and use it to educate themselves as to their options related to solar and advanced energy storage.”
The global market for grid-connected residential photovoltaic (PV) solar installations coupled with energy storage is predicted to grow tenfold to reach more than 900 megawatts (MW) in 2018, up from just 90 MW in 2014, according to new analysis from (NYSE: IHS).
This expansion is being driven by the increasing attractiveness of residential solar systems for self-consumption, as well as by energy savings and increasing interest from homeowners in becoming more independent of the electricity grid.
On Amazon, the book sells for $14.99 with the Kindle version priced at $9.99. The “Cut the Cord” website prices it at $9.99 with 10 copies available at a discounted rate of $7.50 each for use by universities as a class resource.
Battaglia founded Renova Solar in 2006 in Southern California and serves as CEO for the $30 million company that was the first in the country to be accredited by NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) and was named the SunPower Residential National Dealer of the Year in 2015. He is also the founder of Mycrogrid, a company focused on providing storage solutions for residential and commercial applications. Battaglia also serves as the Executive Director of the Electric Ratepayers Alliance, a national non-profit dedicated to ensuring access and high standards in the solar industry on behalf of consumers.
