Sunpower Solar Panels First to Receive Cradle to Cradle Certification

Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute awarded SunPower Corp. the Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver distinction to its E-Series and X-Series solar panels. These are the first and only solar products to receive this certification.

 

The Institute grants certification by evaluating the product design, manufacturing, corporate citizenship and ethics principles. SunPower Corp. manufactures the E-Series and X-Series panels in its factory in Mexicali, Mexico. The factory demonstrated sustainable practices in the achievement of material health, material reutilization, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship and social fairness.
