In three weeks, our Public Utilities Commission will decide how long solar customers can expect to receive the important benefits of California’s popular program. Solar produces reliable power for 30 years or more, and solar customers should expect stable rules and predictable credit on their power bills to match.
But big utilities are lobbying at the Commission to change the rules on Californians. Currently, when you put electricity on the grid you get credit at the same rate you pay for electricity you take off the grid. The utilities would like to credit you at a reduced rate.
Changing the rules on solar customers mid-stream is unfair!
Please join Renova Solar in an online petition drive in partnership with the California Solar Energy Industries Association, the Sierra Club, Environmental California, Vote Solar and others to get at least 10,000 signatures from solar customers and others who want to see net metering agreements honored for at least 30 years.
